This Privacy Policy explains how Molvia, our mobile application (referred to as the "Service"), handles information. Molvia is a chemistry learning app for building molecules, taking quizzes, and exploring the periodic table, and it is designed to run entirely on your device. By accessing or using the Service, you are agreeing to the practices described within this Policy.
The Service does not require an account, a sign-in, or an email address. The molecules you construct, the quizzes and tasks you complete, the elements and concepts you browse, and your learning progress are all processed on your device and are not transmitted to us.
All learning content, including the element catalog, molecule library, tasks, quizzes, and concept articles, is bundled with the app and stored locally on your device after installation. We do not operate servers that receive your activity, and we do not build a profile of you.
Because the information stays on your device, it serves only the purposes you trigger yourself, including:
If you allow notifications, Molvia schedules local reminders (for example, to keep a learning streak going) directly on your device through the operating system. These reminders are generated on the device and are not sent through, or seen by, our servers.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, because we do not collect it in the first place. The Service does not embed advertising networks or third-party analytics that track you across apps.
If Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated statistics through App Store Connect (for example, total downloads), that data cannot identify you individually.
We hold no personal data about you on our side, so there is nothing for us to disclose in response to a legal request. Any information stored locally remains under your control on your device.
The progress and preferences kept on your device stay there until you remove them. You can clear everything at any time by resetting your progress in the app's settings or by deleting the app, which erases its locally stored data.
Our Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain regions). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, no such data is gathered from minors either.
We value your trust and keep the app self-contained so that your usage never leaves your device unless you deliberately export or share it. Please remember that the overall security of the data on your phone also depends on the device protections you set, such as a passcode or biometric lock.
Because the Service works on your device and does not send your activity to us, there is no transfer of your personal data across borders through the app.
Our Service might include links to external websites operated by third parties, such as a support page. We bear no responsibility for the content, security, or privacy practices of these external sites and strongly recommend that you review their respective privacy policies.
We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the "Effective date" at the top will be adjusted accordingly. Your continued use of the Service following any modifications signifies your acceptance of the revised Policy.
